Treatment in Primary Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment Scleral Bucling and Pars Plana Vitrectomy

Dr., Gazi Üniversitesi Göz Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı, Ankara Scleral buckling, pars plana vitrectomy, and pneumatic retinopexy are the main treatment choices for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Scleral buckling has been adopted since early 1950?s and pars plana vitrectomy since 1980?s. Today, both techniques has a high success rate in rhegmatogenous retinal detachment cases.
