As the life expectancy increases, also the incidence of low vision is expected to increase. Macular pathologies are one of the most successful areas of “low vision rehabilitation” methods. Beginning from simple advices and reaching to complicated instruments in low vision rehabilitation centers; there are a wide range of possibilities of application of low vision rehabilitation methods. Increasing the contrast, adjusting the illumination, magnifying with close view and magnifiers, telescopes and electro-optic instruments will increase the effective usage of visual acuity and other visual functions of the patients with macular pathologies. The increase in usage of visual functions will contribute to the low vision people to be independent, reproductive and increase the quality of life again. Having the basic information about low vision will augment the possibility to make contribution to the life of patients with low vision.
