Dr. Bilateral monthly three dose intravitreal ranibizumab treatment was applied to a case admitted with decreased visual acuity with adult-onset foveomacular vitelliform dystrophy (AOFVD). Visual acuity was 0.1 in right eye and 0.4 in left eye at first admission. After four months macular atrophy was formed in the right eye, no change was detected in the subretinal deposit in left eye. Visual acuity was 0.1 in right eye and increased to 0.6 in left eye. Visual acuity was protected, and there was no change in optical coherence tomography images, at the end of two years. According to these, ranibizumab may be effective in the protection of visual acuities of AOFVD patients.
