VITREOUS HEMORRHAGE DUE TO OCULAR TOXOCARIASIS
Karadeniz Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi, Göz Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı, Trabzon
Toxocara canis usually affects children, and its ocular findings include posterior pole granuloma, endophthalmitis, and peripheral retinal granuloma. Late complications are subretinal exudates, funnel shaped retinal detachment, exudative retinitis, and peripheral retinal dialysis. In addition to these we report here a vitreous hemorrhage due to toxocariasis in a 49- year old- patient. We reported this case because we did not find any report involving vitreous hemorrhage due to ocular toxocariasis in literature.
