The purpose of this paper is to report a patient treated with panretinal laser photocoagulation and intravitreal Ranibizumab injections who diagnosed with proliferative diabetic retinopathy and macular edema. Diabetic macular edema is the most common cause of visual loss in patients with diabetic retinopathy. Incidence of diabet¬ic macular edema rises with progression of retinopathy. Laser photocoagulation, intravitreal drug treatments and vit¬rectomy, alone or in combination can be used, as a treatment approach for diabetic macular edema in patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy.
