Göz Hastalıkları, Ankara, Türkiye Choroidal neovascularization (CNV) is seen in 42-86 % of the patients with angioid streaks (AS) that is characterized by the fragility and cracking of the Bruch?s membrane and can cause signifi cant visual loss if not treated. In addition, recurrence is frequent in the cases with AS associated CNV (AS-CNV). In this paper, a case of single dose intravitreal afl ibersept injection for extrafoveal AS-CNV related to pseudoxanthoma elasticum is presented. Rapid regression was achieved in the CNV and no recurrence was seen at 6 months follow-up. Intravitreal afl ibersept injection is a successful treatment option that can be prefered in such cases.
