Gazi Üniv. Tıp Fak. Hastalıkları AD. Perfluorocarbon liquids that have been used in complicated retinal surgeries for 5 years gave good anatomic and functional results. New indications developed in our clinic in addition to the reported ones. New retinal incarcerations, silicone beneath the retina, hydrokinetic dissection of coagulum and the retina during vitrectomy, total bullous detachments after vitrectomy are the new indications of these liquids. As more experience is gained, there will be more indications cornering their usage. In this article late results of 46 cases are presented in addition to new indications.
