2SSK Ankara Göz Hast. Merk. ve Göz Bankası Years old man noted the acute onset of decreased vision and metamorphopsia in left eye one month before examination was observed. On initial examination visual acuity of left eye was 0.1 and could not be corrected. There was no pain, redness, swelling or discharge and no history of oculer surgery, travma or inflamation. Fundus examination of left eye showed that a dark-gray spot surrounded by irregular yellow-white hypopigmented halo in macular area. The fluorescein angiogram revealed transmission hyperfluorecence of the hypopigmented areas without leakage and hypofluorescence of hyperpigmented areas. His visual acuity had gradually improved to 0.8 over the following threee weeks but he still notied metamorphopsia. The patient's fundus and FFA findings remained same. Because the macular lession was one case was evaluated as atypical. Keywords : Metamorphopsia, Acute Retinal Pigment Epiteliitis
