Optical Coherence Tomography Findings in a patient with Acute Posterior Multifocal Placoid Pigment Epitheliopathy
İstanbul Retina Enstitüsü Şti., İstanbul
Case Report: PA 17-year old woman with acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy (APMPPE) was examined by optical coherence tomography. Fundus examination demonstrated bilateral multiple creamy-white plaque like lesions in the posterior pole. Fluorescein angiography showed early blockage and late staining of the lesions. Optical coherence tomography disclosed irregular border of retina pigment epithelium in the affected area. The retina was normal. In this case, in vivo investigation by optical coherence tomography confirmed that only the retina pigment epithelium was affected.
