Haydarpaşa Numune Eğitim ve Araştırma Hast., 1. Göz Kliniği, İstanbul, Dr. Uzm. Dr.
The transconjunctival sutureless vitrectomy (TSV) system is a feasible, effective, safe and practical procedure for a variety of vitreoretinal disorders. The TSV allows for completely sutureless closed vitrectomy, obviates the need for conjunctival peritomy and suturing, decreases surgically induced trauma, convalescence period and postoperative inflammatory response, and improves patient’s comfort. The indications of the TSV system will expand with the development of new 25-gauge vitreoretinal surgical instruments.
