Investigation of Haemodynamic Changes in Behçet's Disease By Color Doppler Imaging
1GATA Göz Hastalıkları ABD2GATA Radyoloji ABD. Behçet's disease is an autoimmune, multisystem vasculitis which the diagnosis is firmly based on clinical findings of patients. There is not any method or objective test for diagnosis except clinical findings yet. In recent years the importance of CDI (Color Doppler Imaging) in the diagnosis ocular diseases was reported. We aimed to investigate the haemodynamic changes in ocular Behçet's disease with respect to differantial diagnosis with other uveitis entities.
Ocular blood flow of active, inactive and optic atrophied ocular Behcet's patients are compared with the other uveitis types and control groups by the use of CDI.
CDI showed that ocular bood flow was found higher in the active ocular Behçet group than others. The importance and the usefulness of this test in clinical field were discussed. Keywords : Behçet's disease, uveitis, color Doppler imaging, diagnosis
