Multiple Evanescent White Dot Syndrome

Multiple Evanescent White Dot Syndrome (MEWDS); is a retinal disorder leading to acute unilateral vision loss and retinal changes such as small discrete white lesions in the deep retina or retinal pigment epithelium and granularity of the fovea. Jampol et al called it MEWDS which is considered among white dot syndromes referring to the short life span of the white lesions. In this report we present a 20 year old woman with this undition and reviewed the literature, focusing on the differential diagnosis.
