Bilateral Premacular Subhyaloid Hemorrhage After Head Trauma

Purpose: To report a case presenting with bilateral premacular subhyaloid hemorrhage after head trauma.Case: A 54-year-old man presented with bilateral subhyaloid hemorrhage and loss of vision in both eyes after falling from the tractor during working in his agriculture area. The patient was treated with bilateral Nd:YAG posterior hyaloidotomy at the same time.
Conclusion: Premacular subhyaloid hemorrhages occur in different conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, proliferative diabetic retinopathy, vein occlusion, trauma. We report here in a patient taking a coumadine medicine due to his cardiac problem exposured with bilateral premacular subhyaloid hemorrhage after indirect head trauma.
