Macular Hole and Surgical Treatment in Retinitis Pigmentosa

Case Report: Macular hole is a rare complication of retinitis pigmentosa which leads to central visual loss. Altough several etiological mechanisms were defined, it usually develops secondary to cystoid macula edema. The only treatment modality for macular hole is surgery and there are only few published data about the results of the surgery. Here we report a case of macular hole and result of surgical treatment in a case of retinitis pigmentosa.
