Dr. Macular edema is one of the most common findings and the main reason for decreased visual acuity in retinal vein occlusions. Many medical and surgical treatment modalities have been described for macular edema due to retinal vein occlusion. However, most of these treatment modalities are not supported by large prospective clinical trials. In recent years intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor application has been presented as a treatment modality. In this article, epidemiology, classification, pathogenesis, treatment options are discussed and especially a meta analysis of patients who received intravitreal bevacizumab treatment for macular edema from retinal vein occlusions is peformed. Keywords : Intravitreal bevacizumab, branch retinal vein occlusion, central retinal vein occlusion
