3M.D. Associate Professor, Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, İzmir/TURKEY We report the closure of a stage 2 macular hole with the release of vitreomacular traction in an eye with traction related stage 2 macular hole following the injection of 0.125 mg ocriplasmin. Intravitreal ocriplasmin therapy seems to be a promising method as an alternative to vitreoretinal surgery in eyes with symptomatic vitreous traction and macular holes.
